Watch David Chang Be Interviewed By Adorable Little Foodies

Kids say the darndest things. And, as this video proves, they sometimes sing the darndest things.

“Cooking! It’s cooooooking!” is what one student at P.S. 216 in Brooklyn, N.Y., sang to Yahoo Food to show us what would make his future restaurant stand out from the pack. (We see an Emeril influence there…)

The school is part of the Edible Schoolyard NYC program, which builds garden and kitchen “classrooms” in public schools that are located in communities with limited access to fruits and vegetables. After the students were finished with their quiz — what is a chef? what would they name a restaurant? — it was their turn to ask the questions, of Momofuku Restaurant Group chef and founder David Chang.

Chang is a big supporter of Edible Schoolyard NYC, and he was the culinary chair of the nonprofit’s spring benefit last night. “Being able to teach kids how to grow food and where it all comes from is absolutely vital to their education,” he says in the video above. Watch it to see how he handles being under fire by a bunch of 5-year-olds.
